The role of an Insides Sales Graduate is a great opportunity for a newly graduated BSc/MSc/PhD within Biology, Biochemistry or similar fields who are ready to kick start a career in a global organization.

As account manager you will have the opportunity to work with some of the most exciting products within the Life Science Portfolio. Our organization is continuously developing, and we guarantee an interesting and challenging position surrounded by an ever-growing international environment. The main responsibilities for our future colleague are based on building new and long-term customer relationships, which will ultimately generate sales. You will support our customers in their research and providing the best possible sales representation for Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Location: Darmstadt/Hessen

Duration: 12 months, with option of a permanent contract based on performance and availability of open positions

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the account manager with sales opportunities of new and existing customers and successfully manage the sales of company products and services to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan
  • Coordinate sales processes in the accounts for an assigned geography in accordance with approved sales and marketing plans together with the account managers
  • Participate in sales, product and systems training, marketing campaigns, special projects as presented by the Company to develop appropriate selling skills
  • Support the assigned sales manager in negotiations with customers, preparation and follow up of sales quotations
  • Regular updates to team leaders and management on sales numbers in collaboration with the supported sales manager
  • Maintain and increase current customer database through customer relation management software (CRM)

Experience/Qualifications/Qualities:

  • Minimum BSc within Life Sciences required
  • You have a talent to handle and prioritize time effectively
  • You are an effective communicator with customers and your colleagues
  • Ability to function effectively in a successful team and exhibit a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a constantly evolving business environment
  • Positive mindset with the desire to solve problems
  • Initial business experience in sales or other customer-facing roles would be an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
